No pictures, and i can't decide if it was the '67 beetle that my wife bought after we started dating, or the '86 4 door wolfsburg edition golf we owned when we finally got married.Probably the golf as it was the only one I ever had any legal claim to.

Nice...that was supposed to be my first VW but because of family issues and I had to have a car by the end of the weekend so I could get to school that Monday morning and all I could find was an 83 Civic S.

So after that and my old 325, I finally got my first VW....

Then after that I got my B5 wagon, my 78 camper bus and now I'm looking forward to picking up my 06 Beetle Vert.

1970 standard. It was supposed to be a baja bug, but I ran out of money and my aspirations of living the watercooled life became too big to ignore.

My 1st was a 1985 GTi. No pics of it so here's a pic of my 2nd one - 86 Jetta Coupe I took from my sister. Sold it before I could remove the pinstripes & moldings..

Totally new-school here. Beyond my early 98 Variant below, my only experience is fixing my sisters 8V 1986 Scirocco and a vivid memory of a friends hot dual-colored blue and purple/Bosch-cool-colored Corrodo... and finding/buying all those f'ed up tools necessary to do so (12-point internal double square... who the hell heard of that in 1989...huh? :) ).

Sadly, she gave her life to save mine... RIP.

My current...

..... ass looks HUGE from this perspective... cool, but huge :)

Family had one of these before I could legally drive.

We were more of a Volvo family back then...

My 1st VW was an 86 Golf 4dr Wolfie. Bought it new since it was the only car my wife could drive (at less than 5' tall). She loved it even though it was pretty slow with the automatic. It was also too small for a growing family and we reluctantly sold it several years later.

She now has an 05 Golf 2.0 Auto. Still slow, but not as bad as the 86. Suspension mods make it a lot of fun to drive. It was the only other car we have ever bought new.
