Hey all...

Been a few weeks since my last post but.... the wait will soon be over.

I was down at the VW dealership this past Saturday test driving a GLX.
Afterwards, they searched for the one I wanted in the system and said there was ONE LEFT (I like my cars unique) and was in port or on a ship and on its way here

Supposed to arrive this Saturday
My '04 GLX is coming soon...
After 6 years of waiting (since the '98s came out) my wait is almost over.... ;p <big grin>

I was able to get a very good deal using the AAA new car purchase plan
I would highly suggest it.

I'll tell you the specs of my car once I get it (dont want anyone taking my car from me) :)

My 1st mods wish lists will be:

NB sunglass holder
Sharan or S2000 antenna
Lower the suspension / remove wheel gap

I had a few questions before I get my car on Saturday so please respond back ASAP....

Can you post some links to purchase the antennas and is that a self install item or did you guys have it done professionally and if so how much does that run?

Also, did you guys get better floor mats (Monster Mats) from the dealer or from an aftermarket place?

Thanks fellow B5'ers

Cant wait to meet some of you soon

I forgot to mention....

The only thing I dont like about my new 04 GLX to be:

The production code

Per the sheet the gave me it says:

Manufactured in the 25th week of 2003 !
Which would put it in June 2003

When did the 2004's come out officially? I know not all car companies have their new models out in Oct or Nov but.....

Im surprised its still on a ship / in port being almost 9 months old

Any ideas?

Any concerns?

And it better have the new style '04 wheels on it.....

If you want, there is also a "perfect fit" S2000 antenna from Enfig:

You can see how it just fits the base better, but might not be worth the extra $10+S&H (instead of $20 Honda)

The aftermarket antenna run about $15-25 and you can install them in about 2 minutes. Just make sure you have the right screw thread on the antennas - IIRC 6mm is what we want on the Passats.

NB Sunglass holder can be had from ECS Tuning for $17 I think and for your suspension, check out the GB forum for Neuspeed Springs/Koni/Bilstein shocks!
