1.8t- after I do a computer reset (remove the battery) it runs like crap for a while and then its ok without a cel light.
it also happened when I had a abs light ON (cel OFF) I went to check for errors and I noticed there was an oxygen sensor error (I dont recall exactly)
I cleared that and it also ran like crap for a few runs and it cleared.
anybody familiar with this? maybe my o2 sensor is failing -its 2000 1.8t 100K miles.I only have the freeware VAG-COM

You can try doing a throttle body adaptation. Assuming you don't have a VAG COM, you can do this by turning the key to the "on" possition (without starting the engine) for about 3 minutes (probably less, but 3 minutes seems pretty safe). DO NOT touch the gas pedal durring these 3 minutes.

Oxygen sensors don't last anywhere near 100,000 miles -- they just look like they do, because they die a slow death. Replace it even if you don't want to.
