I have lost two of my hubcaps already. Before suspecting they were stolen, I know at least one came off mid-transit. I was being followed by a friend and they thought they saw one come off but weren't sure. I'm going to assume the second one randomly came off another time.

Today, I was slowing down to make a left turn, when the front left one decided to come off in the middle of the road! What's wrong with these things? Is there some trick to keeping them on?

its definitley time to go alloy... naked sounds likea good idea too magic. I saw a stickered out hyundai with the chrome spinner hubs outside of my house one day and saw maybe 2 or 3 zip ties on the bad boys because god forbid he lost a spinner hubcap... he'd look like a moron

My guess is that your caps were never put on correctly. I use them during the winter with my snow tires and after 7 years I still have all four. In fact I ever tore part on one trying to remove it.

I've lost one the same way. The only suggestion I can make is to pound them on really hard; since I started doing that, I haven't lost any more...

That's what happened to me so I just run with no hubcaps at all. Doesn't look to bad from a distance or at night but I try not to look at it during the day though........... hehe

I run nude 100 miles a day. After the weather clears, it'll be back to my baller 16" rims. (Seriously, my summer wheels are sixteens.)

I kept my caps for 7 years without a problem as well, until I let a tire store put them back on recently. Next thing you know, one is gone.I have since gone naked as well, but will be retiring that look after this weekend when my new (to me) 15" alloys arrive. (16" is too "baller" for me:lol: ) Meanwhile, if you want, I have 3 each of the first two styles of hubcaps--the flattish ones from the b5, and the more curvish profile ones from the b5.5. PM me if you want me to ship you some replacements. From what I could tell, the caps are not interchangeable however. I could not get the b5 covers to fit onto the b5.5 steelies (although I may have given up too soon, said "aw f--k it , I'll go naked" and left it alone rather than keep on trying), and I haven't tried it the other way around, so who knows.
