Greetings!
The basics: 2003 GLX 4Motion Wagon w/ATQ motor

Well, I just treated the old girl to some body work that included repairing and repainting the rear bumper cover. She looks great, but the clear protective strip on the bumper, which had gotten quite beat up over the years, wasn't replaced by the body shop in the process. Anyone ever do this job? It seems like you're just peeling and applying a sticker, but is it more complicated than that? Any experience you've had doing this or any tips you'd like to offer would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's just a peel and stick vinyl strip. You probably could buy vinyl at the local parts store and DIY. At the worst, I expect it's a water activated glue, spray the bumper, put down the vinyl and squeegee it flat (like Lamin-X).
