They say drilled rotors aren't good for tracking because thy might crack. They have warnings everywhere if you want to buy them. Why is it that Ferrari and other top manufacturers use drilled and not slotted roators?
Humm, I will bite.
For the method used to make most drilled rotors in aftermarket is to just drill thru standard rotors which is just making them weaker, while more high end brands/car makers tend to cast the rotors as is. Also not all high end car, i just noticed that SLR my dealer has on lot does not have drilled rotors, but my S500 has drilled slots in the front (i would assume that has to do more with the weight of the car).
