So, it appears that VW is offering a $1000 incentives to dealers. Should I try to negotiate this into the price? Wondering if this is on top of the 2.5% they get for a sale normally. If so, thinking I should be able to get it for invoice or below, especially with the $500 owner loyalty which has been continued.

thoughts?

Edmunds says $1000 and 1.9% for 60 months or $2000 if you don't use their financing! And there is a $500 rebate for current leasees or owners or their imediate families. If you took $2000 discount off of $25000 to get down to cost, and another $2500 for the above, that would be $21,500 for a 2004 Passat GLS! At that you could even afford the 100000 mile warrantee!

well, I don't think you get the owner loyalty if you don't finance through them.
