So a couple weeks ago I swapped my stock down pipe with a full 2.5" one from TT. Durring the swap I removed my cat to make the swap easier. When I was removing the cat I first removed the pre cat O2 to see how it looked. It had a good amount of white deposits around it but also some gray. I had used some fuel system cleaners recently and read that could cause the white deposits on the sensor. Below I have a photo of the sensor when I changed it. What do you guys think? Should I replace the sensor?

If it were me I would blast it with my sandblaster using baking soda. Or at least try blow off any the loose ash on the sensor then re-install and see if throws a code. If starts giving you trouble then I would replace it.

I figured as much. I have to admit I'm spoiled with my equipment that I own and the resources available to me.
Is there a way you can blast it with air?
If the inside (where the sensor is) is not to built up with ash and all the little slits in the metal casing around the sensor are not restricted I would just put it back in.
Do you have VCDS? You can check it's function in VCDS.

I tried to download the lite version of VCDS but it said something about how my laptop can't support it ir some other thing, which is weird as my windos laptop is 2 years old at most. Gonna try looking in to it more later today when I get home from work
