This month we visit long time member and long time putter-together of swanky Passats... Jack, aka gerwazy. One of Jack's talents reminds me of a scene from the movie Shawshank Redemption.

ANDY:
I understand you're a man who knows
how to get things.

RED:
I'm known to locate certain things
from time to time. They seem to
fall into my hands. Maybe it's
'cause I'm Irish.

Recently, Jack and his car were awarded second place at Waterfest 20.

First, I would like to thank everyone who nominated my car again. This is a very special recognition as this is for second time around that this car has gotten POTM. And to build on the momentum of this special occasion it feels like a birthday gift as I am celebrating my birthday this month. So big thanks to Passat World and all members. There were some changes since 2009 when the car was nominated the first time. I recently completed a transmission swap from auto to 5 speed manual, there were changes in the interior and I have a set of new wheels almost ready to put on... If this was due in a week or two I would have pics with the new shoes on but I will update the pics as soon as I have them mounted :) Also installed an euro spec front bumper cover with working headlight washers and rear euro spec hatch to go with the front.
I would like to thank all my PW friends for their suggestions and help to improve this work in progress...

Still have quite a few boxes of parts lying around waiting for Matt to put them on my car... So the work continues, hope one day to get her on bags. And maybe a bigger turbo... As my friend once told me the only original part left on this car is the VIN number
Thanks for looking guys and gals!

Not only the seats, but I love the looks of the bumper covers and the hood.
Moreover, he's wag's subtle paint color, bordering understatement, gives the car a certain "aristocratic" feel. It sends me thinking of UK, rather than NJ.
Congrats
