No, he is also busy condeming the sexual behavior of gays and straights alike:

I would rather he stick to blessing cars.
I don't know how the Pope can do that and sleep at night. I assure you, this gay hatred that you see in folks who claim to be Christians isn't Christ-like at all. Jesus ate with the tax collectors, hung with Samaritans, Jews, Gentiles.

Recent story in my area is a young man who recently admitted he was gay. His church kicked him out. Other local churches did take him in, however, their actions and others alike spit in the face of Christ when they hate gays or whatever else.

All sin is sin. There isn't some scale where being gay is up here and lying is down here. All sin is sin and becuase of it we fall short the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Jesus is the way. These people are saved but are mad about it are so distant from Christ it is silly.

My rant, but Biblically sound and something on my mind and heart. Trust me, Jesus loves gays as much as the pope and much as you. Can't love you anymore and will not love you any less.

Amen to that. People are people and I wish we all could see that and start looking for the best in all people. (boy, talk about OT).

IMO, such a waste of a blessing when material things are blessed (ie, house, car, etc.) I think JC would rather people bless other people in deeds rather than waste it on cars or even just saying to another person "God Bless you" (although the latter with an actual kind deed is very effective)

Waste it? He only gets so many?

Plus Ferraris are proof of God. That alone qualifies them for a blessing! :p

Jesus did eat with the tax collectors. But he didn't condone them being thiefs. Same thing with the adulterous woman. He told her to stop sinning. Hate the sin, love the sinner. The article says nothing of the pope hating gays. He is simply telling gays that they are living a sinful life, just like he would tell thiefs to stop living that sinful life. I don't see how this is any different than what Christ did.

Mark 2:17 (New International Version)
On hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
He dealt with the sinners so that he could cure them, not to praise them in their ways.

It is also true that sin is sin because we fall short of the glory of God. But you can fall shorter in some sins than in others. Otherwise, how could this be true:
"Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation—because they said, 'He has an unclean spirit'” (Mark 3:28-30).

And also, "He that delivered me unto thee hath the GREATER SIN."
How can there be a greater sin if there are no degrees?

This thread should really go to OT but I'd like to follow up.
Sin is sin because God is Holy and will not accept anyone who has. That's why Christians believe that Jesus covered all our inequities by his death (spotless lamb...see Jewish scriptures). ON judgement day there are only 2 places to go, up or down. The ones that do not believe in Christ will be cast down, perish in an everlasting fire. Now, maybe if you commited the "greater sin" then maybe Lucifer can make you his #2.

But forget all that, the more important thing is to live Christlike and let us not judge on how much greater one's sin is. Honor God and the rest will follow

Evangalizing Christians seem to turn up everywhere... just like rats and roaches.
No one told ya to join in, no one pointed a finger to you. Coincidence you are here feeling some pressure?

Funny too, cuase recently at church was a message on money. And Perry said how now I know what you are thinking, everytime I come here they all talk about money. Well our staff did research, and we only spoke about money once this year. And only twice last year! If everytime you come to church you always hear a message on money perhaps you need to start showing up more to church or God is trying to talk to you.

Amen to that!

And in RE of above quote of my post. Certianly, hate the sin, love the person. I was trying to explain this to a new friend recently and she was so bewildered by it but soon realized, it is the truth. Now, I agree in giving the Pope some flak becuase quite honestly sin is sin. So why single out gays? > What about the other gagillion people in this world who do not know Christ as their Lord?

Please don't be the guy on the street with the Burn or Turn posters and bull horn.

Yes, you quoted scripture but what good is it when not everyone agrees with the Bible? Then what basis does quoting the Bible have on them...?

I wasn't arguing against everyone. I was arguing against one person who quoted the bible in his statement.
