How do guys replace the line from somewhere under the intake to the diverter valve? Looks like it's really difficult to get access to it. Do I need to remove the throttle body? And How?
Thanks
there are three bolts that hold a plate which the two solenoids are botled to. you unscrew the three bolts from the manifold and this give you acess to the solenoids. here's what it looks like out of the car:

So you unscrew three bolt and put it down a bit and replace the hose? Is there enough space if you leave the throttle body on?
I'm really afraid of the freaking hose clamps that vw put on. What a PITA to remove them! :banghead:
yup...you got it. move the coolant tank out of the way...you may also have to take off the TB hose to gain some more room.

search for my post on how to easily remove the factory clamps...dont get angry with them because the solenoid barbs are plastic and easy to break.
