I've used Meguair's ScratchX to buff cloudy plastic tails and they've come out clean and clear. May not be the intended purpose but it's worked for me!

I've heard that Plexus is the tops for polishing plastic. The only problem I have, is that I can not find it. I have however used Never Dull swatting (sp?) polish and liked the results.

Keep in mind that my is an 03 with 15,000 miles, so my plastic is very new with minimal blemishes.

Plexus is great, you can order it from http://store.yahoo.com/classic-motoring/glass---plastic.html or http://www.autopia-carcare.com/glass---plastic.html. CMA has free shipping until the end of the month.

Also, a good alternative is Gel-Gloss. You should be able to find it at Home Depot. It is mainly sold as a cleaner-polish for bathroom sinks. It's safe on marble, acrylic, plastic, and chrome. Believe or not, I learned this from my mother-in-law. She said her headlights were cloudy and dirty so she tried this because it was the only "polish" she had and it worked great.
