It's been awhile since I've been able to find time for the passat. Pson and I got together and changed a 1.8T AND V6 timing belts simultanously step by step. The 1.8T had more steps but after 8 hours and 45 minutes both cars started up and ran for 22 miles so far. Water pumps replaced as well. I replaced my belts and pumps (and fluids) after I figured I had the money and time (and tools) to do it. The belt didn't need it but the4 tensioner had some grease on it. We lost the camera (I hope it's not left in the motor compartment as I stored in in a reachable place several times while Pson and I were working.
We decided afterwards this was the last time we did this as he's going to get a B6 A6 and I'll get a 2009 CC VR6 all-wheel.:wrench:
