If this belongs in the W&T forum then so be it, but I thought it might have broad general appeal. I just got perfect tire wear out of a Yokohama AVS/ES100. Dead even all across the tread, all around the tire, all the way to the bitter end:
This is on the right front of a '98 with 98K miles on original control arms; H&R OE Sport Springs, Koni adjustable (yellow) shocks set about 2/3 stiff, alignment done to 1BE specs by a grizzled veteran at University VW in Albuquerque, tire size 225/50x15 on 7" wide OEM Rondos. Air pressure varied, but usually it was relatively high - 34F/30R for daily driving and 38-42F/34-38R for the track. The tire lasted 15,000 miles, through several road trips and three track days, rotated every oil change (about 5K miles). The other three tires are similarly even but had a bit more tread - the Albuquerque track is hard on RF tires.
