Did you find the problem?? my passat bkp have the same problem since november/2017, 1/2 times per month takes 7/8 seconds to start, after start all normal, I have changed diesel filter, I have made a revision to the injectors and registers the error p1261, I do not know what to do more.

Passat b6 2.0l TDI 103 kw bkp engine.Sometimes ( not everytime) i need to crank about 10-12 second to start the car.Summer or winter it does not matter.Battery show 12.30V

I had a similar problem. My bkp engine was a real hard starter and after a couple of battery changes, it kept up it's nonsense... Then the starter motor died completely. Replacement after market starter was actually cheaper than battery.
