I've actually got one better. I ran several times today and my 2 best times on a stock '03 1.8t Tiptronic with all season tires on it were R/T of .084 and .095. I found that if you use left foot braking and floor the pedal and time your release to when the last yellow starts to light you will have good results. 60 % of my reaction times were in the .3's so I may be a little late on the release.heres what to do....my best 60 foot time was a 2.333.........stage till the bottom yellows come on....hold the break, hodl the gas till about 2000 rpm or so....light turns green let it go
freakety freak freak how did you get 60 foot times that low. The best two I have ever had were a 2.502 and a 2.528. And a final speed of 89.77 what were you doing????? Tire pressure? Fuel level? ALtitude? What man please tell me.UPDATED TONIGHT!!!!!!
STOCK K03 baby......whats the best tiem for passats on the stock K03???...and stock K03/TIP.....need somethign to short for man, lol
If you're still interested in stock numbers I have 11 slips or so from my runs today. It might give you an average baselineAs far as the Passats, i read this thread and thru the pages, and i have not seen much 1/4 times from stock :b5:'s. I am going to run mine soon. I want to see the difference from stock to upgraded, since i will be starting the engine mods soon, to be done before xmas (i think) and ready to run for next year season. The difference should be nice.
Thanks for the suggestion. Yesterday was actually my first time lining up in front of a Christmas Tree. The adrenaline was doing more driving than my brain or reflexes. Next time out I will try and take advantage of your suggestion.@Bglswrth454: If you are flooring the gas before launch I bet the DBW is cutting the throttle off. Try feeding in JUST enough pedal to get the boost up.
2.2 is an excellent 60' for a mostly stock Passat running radials.
