That sounds good. I'll post some numbers in a few months when I get them

to trap anything below 15.1 you have to be making at least 183-190 to the wheels.
Just because it hasn't been done by anyone else doesn't mean it's not possible. I've seen stock B5 A4 running high 15's with just bolt ons(no chip) and it's possible. Blade ran 14.5 trapped at 97mph at best with APR, exhaust, testpipe and FMIC. His best dyno #'s were 185whp and 220's wtq. All I gotta say is he's a damn good driver when it comes to 1/4.

btw, he had a 2001 AUG
not saying its not possible..hell if i'm saying anything at all is go for it. I want people to prove me wrong..

the AUG motor is the secret part...chipped B5.5 power in a "lightweight" B5 package with taller gears better suited for the chip IMO.

Yeah, that's what I've heard too.

Scott, I wanted to ask you if the Upsolute have a rep down here in MD? I'm thinking about changing out my wett chip to something more aggressive and I think most Up chips seems stronger than wett. My wett chip's been good to me but wanna squeeze some more out.

or I can assist you via the mail with the B5one.com member special.

what model year do you have? try to log some data and we can maybe see in advance if there is "more to be had". shoot me an email we can discuss...
Go with Scott through B5ONE - great service, great guy, great deal.

GIAC Chiped
Motor Trend's long-term 6 speed W8 did a 14.45 stock. I'm gonna try mine this spring at Show n Go to see if I can beat that - Wett chip & exhaust.
Alright................now we got some W8 guys running at the strip. VWGUY4EVER, I'm looking forward to seeing your time.

could probably go faster, but tires would not cooperate
launch technique?

manual 30v 4motion. with PES supercharger.

so, i turn the ESP off yes?

have hand brake on and clutch just biting.

start to go just b4 lights start to change becuase my ractions are usually so slow that i can see green b4 i start.

tyre presures: running 235s on 18s.
i reckon i just keep them at standard high speed pressures.

gear change? no probs as peak power at red line.

thoughts?

I wouldn't use the handbrake... just press down the brake pedal and start pushing down the gas until you feel it tilt forward... then at green just punch it (letting go of the brake)... you get a nice surge.
Jroo-

aren't you describing a tip start? I couldn't work out the pedal sequence.

i meant to have my hand pulling the hand break on and the button pressed in, but not fully engaged with the button released on as in parked, whilst the clutch is just biting with a small amount of revs. then when anticipating the change of lights you lower the handbreak, and apply more revs as the clutch bites.

the other times I've just sat with the clutch nearly engaged and just sort of lifted it quickly whilst depressing the accelerator.

hope any of that makes sense.
oh sorry.. not paying enough attention to your post then... most of us 4motions are still automatics ;)
15.38 & 94.1mph. 30v manual supercharged.

disappointed i didn't break into the 14s. it was v busy, had to queue for an hour before & it was wet. so much heat soak is my excuse. only got 1 other run i due to time.

much fun though.

You can definately improve time but your trap speed seems to be really low. I expected SC V6 would be in high 90's.

Did anybody catch this? Most respectable. The B6's are kicking ass. :salute:

Since traction was such a problem I would love to see what the 4MO would put down.
