P1678 Drive By Wire MIL Circuit Short To Ground

I had to R and R my instrument cluster and now I am trying to clear the EPC lamp. The code is P1678. ( I also have a P1690 with no CEL) When I go to clear it while car is running it will disappear for a moment, then right back on. Iv'e tried most everything I could do. Any suggestions? Thanks Tom, that was the conclusion I came to as well. Since I may have knocked them loose,or momentarily undid the connections, would clearing all the faults on each address one at a time help? I could see me with my oversize hands knocking something, but why would it still run like so good? I will let you know what I find.

Al fixed, i dropped the bottom cover and just pressed every connection, fuse, and relay. i then cleared every controller that showed a fault. Now no codes, 200 mile trip. All is good. Thanks to Tomvw for his suggestion.
