OK..........new MAF, PCV, purge valve and hoses about 12 months ago. Got the 2 codes above.............put in brand new NGK non-platinums and swapped around coil #3 to coil #1 position..............have been driving around and every once i a while I get a flat bog, then flutter from take-off and then engine settle ok after about 5 to 10 seconds. Read codes and they are still the same............so its not coil and its not plugs......could it be the MAF........it was a rebuilt unit. Thoughts on how to narrow this down? CEL goes on then goes off.............get the flat spot bog and here it comes again. Thoughts??? Car is a 99 1.8t AEB with 173k............otherwise runs like a top!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Decided to replace MAF under warranty......

With a year warranty on MAF........I decided to replace it, reset codes and lets see. The only other thing I can think its is would be # 3 cylinder fuel injector.............since why do i always get the lean 1136 and 0303 code?:banghead:
