V6 Engine
1998 - 5.7L (6 qts)
1999 - 6.0L (6.2 qts)
2000-2005 - 6.3L (6.5 qts)

I always dump in 6.5qts (Synthetic) on all my V6's with the larger Mann filter. Get's me right in the top band of the dipstick.

I've been using 15W-50 since I've been down here in natures furnace.
The wife's 2003 GLX with the relatively new engine doesn't use any oil between changes.
My 1998 GLS will burn through 10W-30 quite a bit of oil (quarts) between changes.
Since I've switched over to the 15W-50 it barely uses anything. I'd prefer to use 20W-50 but that's getting hard to find.

I really should buy a few cases online. You know how it goes though, never think about it until the oil change time comes around.

It will get you close, but it depends on the filter. I used 6.75L on all 3 of my 2.8L with the larger filter.
Oh! Jeeze, I never considered that, thanks!

20-W50 - sounds like diesel truck engine oil - perhaps look there?
