Got 4 recalls done today, the only real important one was the coils. Wow!!!! I was having issues at idle and under boost that are now gone. Fuse on the radio was bad, so now I have tunes, and she goes like stink. Okay, as fast as a heavy car that can use another 50 or 60 horses can. The transmission has adapted and is shifting properly, no leaks, 10 lbs of boost,

Found a local muffler shop that can do the flex for $150 that's recommended by the local dealer, a set of new tires, and I think that's about it. The old girl is ready for the trip to 300k.

How was Valley Imports when you told them you wanted to get your transmission flashed?

I'm thinking about seeing if it helps, but I thought they might not know what I'm talking about on my 10 year old car.

Did they charge you anything for the TSB fixes?

I didn't get it flashed, it has just adapted. It's been off the road for a year and a half with a blown head gasket, I just didn't have the time or money to stick into it at that time due to a divorce. It just hadn't been hooked up to a battery for most of that time.

I got out for free, and they even popped out my radio so I could replace the fuse behind it. No charge for that either. I was impressed. They even washed it up and had it waiting in the service lane for me to pick up. Very nice presentation. The old girl looked like a million bucks all washed up under the lights. Really first class.
