3 months ago I purchased this window motor from ECS tuning to repair the malfunctioning one on my DD.

I just checked for the exact same item today, after discovering the other day the one in my wife's car is acting up.

Maybe my wife will be without a functioning passengers window this summer.

FCPeuro is only about $15 cheaper.

In the past I've found weird pricing on ecstuning myself. If I had one item on order the price per piece was considerably cheaper than if I wanted to order two or more of the same item. Not every time but sometimes the pricing was unusual.

My thought is...
The way a lot of parts are becoming harder to find and the places we go to get those parts are dwindling their supply due to age or whatever, I figured I'd stock up on some not so common parts / supplies for when they aren't available anymore. Especially rubber trim pieces, seeing as they get baked from the desert southwest sun.

I just made a comment in another post about ECS. $100 bucks for a simple rubber elbow hose. Got it from the local parts store for pennies.

Very true...
I remember touring an auto parts factory some years ago (site of the Hollywood Casino Columbus now) that illustrated some of the reason for this.

There were a quite a number of machines on casters pushed over in to a storage area, so I asked about them. Oh, those are for service parts... On closer inspection I saw many an obsolete programmable controller, etc.--the kind you buy parts for from eBay (now), presuming you can find a PC the programming software will run on. You can figure there are just a handful of people that remember how to run them, too. And so it goes...

Yep, that's why I have a couple sets. Grabbed them from junked cars. I end up getting a lot of little items like those that are commonly overlooked but hard to find new, if I do need one.
