Hi Everyone,

I bought my used 2004 Passat over a year ago and I love it! My GF had a 2012 Passat for a long time and I unfortunately totaled it. That being said, I have heard Passat World and visit occasionally but I feel now's the time to join the community to learn more about my beloved vehicle and share like-minded Passat passion with some folks!

I'm not a mechanic by any means but I do plan on taking some DIY approaches to save some money. Right now my car problems consist of needing a motor mount and a cv joint axle. I think I'll attempt the motor mount but I'm afraid of the CV joint because I don't wanna damage the ABS sensor.

just pull the ABS sensors back about 1/2" before messing with the axle. Then they can't be damaged by moving the axles around.

I wouldn’t worry too much about damaging the ABS sensor. They’re like $15 on Amazon. I have one sitting around just in case my brake pad wear sensor wiring (integrated harness with the abs sensor) acts flaky again.
