Aloha Amigos!

Have 95 Passat TD 1.9L (AAZ engine) B4 body.

Hard or no start on cold mornings below freezing when car not used for 8 hours or more. Bought this baby used from a wild Polish VW mechanic in Hamilton, ON. He said he rebuilt the engine some 66,000 Km ago. :bowdown:

Fuel lines from fuel filter show air bubbles continuously. Not sure about condition of glow plugs.

Have added battery blanket for maximum electric stimulus; using magnetically attached heater unit to bottom of oil pan in attempt to elevate engine temperature.

Any thoughts or advice? I need to have this vehicle running without paying an arm and a leg to do it!

Yeah glow plugs, and the timing needs to be set on the ragged edge of too advanced for best cold starting performance.
