Hi,

I've been trying to install a carputer in my car and i have hacked the connector to the stereo unit for my external soundcard.

As of right now, everything else works but the soundcard, which is a creative labs audigy2 nx.

I have it hooked up to a cnx-p1900 psu to one of those 5v wires on the side. When I plug in everything, the noise is there.. not too loud and not too soft.. just loud enough at voice level. Also, as it's plugged in, I can't really turn it on. The red light doesn't come on but, I know it is on.

The audio wiring for this is from some hacked rca cables to a y-connector plug.

I was thinking of adding a ground loop isolator to this to reduce the noise but, I don't know if that will do the trick since when I take the cables out of the soundcard, it still has a slight noise to it.

It might be the power but I'm not sure.. Can anyone help me on this? :banghead:
