most people do just the springs, but in the long run you will svae more $$ if you upgrade both the shocks and springs, afterall the stock shocks wont hold up to the stiffness of the sport springs.

Ace allures are very sexy, one of my favourite wheels. They do look small though, but I would have gone for 17's as well, had the choice been mine.

Check www.shox.com (that's where I got mine). They have a CB5 discount I believe. I went with Eibach Pro Kit and Koni Yellows. Just got them installed last weekend and I'm very happy with the ride! I've never had a car that handled this well.

To answer your question...if you only go with springs, you'll wear out the OEM shocks quicker. You might as well go with the whole package.
