Hello everyone! I bought a used 2000 Volkswagen Passat and I love it! Car currently has 158xxx miles on it and it runs like a dream. It's also my first manual car but I learned to drive it correctly very quick.. The turbo in it makes it a cakewalk when I'm going uphill. Overall very nice car for a struggling college student. Every time I put it into neutral I nearly cum at the thought of all the gas I save. Maybe not but you get the idea.

If you're coasting down a steep hill, or to a stop, you actually use LESS gas than if you're in neutral. Around town, anyway... On a long highway downhill at speed, neutral would work better.

Glad to have you aboard! It IS a very nice car for a struggling student...as long as it doesn't break...
