New owner is used Passat

Hi everyone

I’m aimee. Just bought my teenage daughter a 2010 Passat wagon as her first car. Car runs great. Has about 150k miles on it. She loves it even if it is a wagon. Of course todayit started making some god awful noise when she puts it in reverse or in drive. So I’m hoping to find some help on this sit.

The Folks here are great but your going to have to be a bit more specific . If possible take a video and post it .
It the car banging into the gears ? Is it making the noise while driving or just during shifts?

Hard to help with the limited info .
