Need new radio antenna on '99 B5

Hi all,
The antenna gasket on my '99 B5 has just about had it. Since I need to replace the entire base, I was wondering if anyone had replaced it successfully with a saab 9-3 antenna or another low profile antenna.
Any help in this matter would be appreciated.
BTW, I have a pre monsoon radio.

Why do you have to replace the whole base? www.parts4vws.com hasjust the gasket for something like $20.

Thank you,I found it.
I guess I have some catching up to do; I was still under the impression that you had to buy the whole thing...LOL

Now that I know that this is available...does anyone know of a smaller antenna that would work.. like the new A4 antenna or the Saab's?
