Last season my wife and I started a club called "Anybody but Jimmie". This year I think we can start taking on members. I'm so tired of Jimmie Johnson.

Anyways, I'm glad that Daytona is out of the way and we can get on to the non-restrictor plate races.

Mostly I'm happy that I get to watch Mark Martin for one more year.

I watched a little of the Daytona 500 this weekend and was surprised to see them turning right. Then I realized some guy in some car had already won and was driving the wrong way around. For a minute or two my pulse went way way up like to 72bpm instead of 70bpm then when I saw my mistake I turned the channel and forgot about NASCAR once again.

Great, the Nascar haters are already out in force.
I don't HATE Nascar, I just really really really don't like it. If there was more technology involved then maybe or if they really had to use STOCK cars to start with I would like it. Or if they turned right once in a while and yes I know they race a Watkins Glenn and a few other places but they don't televise them.

So it looks like I'll be going to the Sears Point race this year. Not sure if I'll be going to any other Nascar races. Anybody going to see a race?

I'm personaly not a big fan,but I kind of have to be,my whole family is very big in to it and have been for as long as I can remember plus my fiancee's dad is Tony Stewart's tire specialist so I go to MIS both times every year which is a pretty good time, and we get the pit passes which really makes it alot more interesting but there is no way I can sit and watch a whole race on TV,I'd rather be golfing

Toyota supposedly is having a hard time making the quantum leap backwards from OHC motors and unit bodies to OHV motors and tube frames.

They're waiting for some more layoffs from the Big 3 so they can pick up the needed intellectual capital to produce those technologies.

I live in MI, I'll buy you a round for your pass! I think it would be neat to go to a race that way, even if I'm not the hugest NASCAR fan.

Alex, sorry I would if I could beleive me I have had some VERY generous offers from people, but my future father-in-law is very anal about all of it (we were going out together for over 2 1/2 years before he even offered)but I can kind of understand knowing all that goes into getting a pit pass, you know backgound checks, copy of drivers licence, dress codes, your first born son..ect....ect.But it really is alot more fun to be in the heart of all of it,really gives you a new appreceation for all that goes in to professional racing on any level, and its a really good time and you meet ALOT of people (got to stand next to Kid Rock and the whole pit crew during the national anthem which is like a once in a lifetime oppertunity)

Matt Kenseth is a big poon tang, I was expecting helmet throwing and a good ole donnybrook after Stewart's "aggressive driving".

Stewart does kick ass. However, considering his whining earlier in the week about aggressive driving I can understand others frustrations.

Those I cannot stand:

Tony Stewart- whiner, hypocrite, borrrring
Jeff Gordon- Tom Cruise, Days of... who?, ehhhh
Jimmie Johnson- how's Chad doing? Nice win, not.
Kyle Busch- get over yourself and come fix my computer, you cocky geek

Those I like:

Kasey Kahne- don't know why I root for him everytime but I like the guy, the little train that could? It's always interesting to see what lap in the final 20 he'll stuff it into a wall.

Mark Martin- just a nice guy

The Daytona 500 was boring but I was just happy to see Tony Stewart or Jeff Gordon not win. That would have been even more boring.
