That's the "Big Kahuna" filter I use on my 1999 AEB. It holds almost an entire quart of oil all on its own. :thumbup:
Anything you can do to increase the oil capacity of the 1.8t is beneficial to fighting sludge.

I changed my oil yesterday and the nut that holds the male thread for the oil filter was loose...anyone else run across this??

27mm or 1 1/16" nut torqued to 18 ft-lb.
But before you do that, stop by the dealer and grab yourself a new oil cooler o-ring.
