Never been a fan of Mustangs (or any other American car), but this is a really nice, clean and modern restyling which what it should have been in the first place.

A coach-built Ford Mustang is to be sold in strictly limited numbers in honour of Lee Iacocca, who is widely known as the “father of the Mustang”.

The body of the car – called as the 2009 1/2 Iacocca 45th Anniversary Edition Ford Mustang because it is launched late in the model year – has been designed by Michael Leone and built by the legendary Gaffoglio Family Metalcrafters.
There is a lightly redesigned front end with sunken headlights and a more dramatic fastback rear. Special 20-inch Iacocca Design wheels wrapped with Goodyear Eagle tyres complete the clean look.
Inside there is a leather-wrapped steering wheel with "I" logos, Diamond Design leather seats, and Iacocca-badged aluminium sill plates.
Ford Racing provides a cold-air intake system and the Ford Racing Handling Pack adds new shocks and springs.
An optional supercharger system boosts the 4.6-litre V8’s power to 395bhp. Just 45 units will be available exclusively from Galpin Ford in Southern California.

this is to commemorate the 45th anniversary, so making it a 2010 model would make it the 46th anniversary -- not really a significantly notable milestone.

Ford is just late in the game.
