The car has a A6 C5 2.7l Biturbo AJK engine, widebody kit, H&R coilovers, 20 mm spacers, 19x10 et 35 Zito WP111, Continental Sport Contact 7 265/30 tiers with more...
I will make a modlist later.

This year 2022 have been a year full of problems. I hitt a deer the second drive i had and the engine failed (because of the deer) the third drive. So this year i have only been repairing the car.

Crash:

Current problems:

While i was working on the car i figgured i might as well uppgrade the rear brakes. The rear wheel hub housing is from a 2.7l A6 c5 and i figgured the 269/22 ventilated disc whould be a nice and easy uppgrade from my non ventilated discs. I got the 4D0 615 425 B caliper hanger and W8 Calipers. The problem i have now is that the caliper hanger dont match the depth of the rotor (54mm).

Does anybody know what caliper hanger i need?

I also want to fix a ABS problem i have had for many years. The fault code i get is 00287, open og short rear right sensor. I have changed rear abs sensor, abs unit, abs ring, and still same problem. When i trye to logg the wheel speed sensors the rear right sensor always read 1 km/h. I have connencted new wires from sensor to abs unit, when i measure volt i get low readings. I dont get why i cant get the correct readings from the sensor, any ideas are welcome.

Sorry for my bad english 😅 Looking forward to hear any ideas. There is loads more to write about the car, i will uppdate you ;)

There is a possibility that the wiring to the sensor through the body is a problem.
All that aside, the car does look great, despite the incident.

Or maybe the replacement sensor was bad since you tried redoing the wiring. Are you sure it’s fully seated as well?

Wow, that looks super mean. Seriously impressed by that build, don't think I've ever seen a B5 look at good before.

Thank you, i will check that again just to be 100% sure.

I Dont think its bad because it does make Voltage when i measure the connection plugg, and i have changed it 2 times. I will take some pictures next time im in the garage.

Oh and by the way, good luck on your sensor issue. I haven't a clue on ABS issues for the most part, if possible I would just check continuity on the wires to get an idea and make sure it's not a wire issue first, I'm sure it's very possible it could be seeing that you replaced the sensor. Check to make sure it's a clean connection, I've seen debris affect connectors too, but it's hard to say. Nice to see a fellow Nordmann on here, my family is from the area of Bergen.:D
I would check the tone ring on the axle if everything else is good. I've seen one that was loose on the axle and did not spin.

Regarding rear disc upgrade:
You are FWD?
If you are, there is almost zero rear brakes upgrades for FWD. You will need to play with different brake discs height (offset ). Im also in reserch for rear upgrades but on B5.5😁
I would sugggest: 1. AUDI A6 (C5) ALLROAD rear disc is also 269x22 but different height
2.AUDI 100 (C4) QUATTRO 269x20 (non-vented)
3.Try adjust offset of caliper hangers by moving to outside or inside by putting shims or plate to match a disc

Hello, thank you for replying, it is syncro/quattro :) what are your thoughts then?

If you are quattro, there is much more upgrade options.
Im not really involved in upgrade of brakes on 4wd cause i have FWD, but here on forum is a lot of guys which are allready make upgrades. Try with search bar above or someone more experienced will answer to your question.

Im starting to think that i need to uppgrade to the aluminium wheel bearing housing from W8 Passat if i want to run the 269/20 54 rear disc that i have. Still dont know what hanger that is the correct one tho.

Problem now is that i dont seem to find good information about what needs changed to run the aluminium housing. Can i use my existing abs sensors? Can i use my cv joints (i have A6 joints)? Other things? I guess the bushings are the same? Will the ofsett to the wheel change? Does it use the same mounting locations?

Do any of you have a idea to where i can find the info? If you do a link whould be nice😁

It looks like its plug and play and that it pushes the wheels out abitt more 😁
It also looks like i can use my existing abs sensor.

Can some one verify?

The track rod has number: 4B3501530

It looks like it is spesific for Passat W8 and S6 C5, probably because of the aluminium wheel bearing housing? I gues my existing rod will fit as long as they have the same lenght, as they must have.

The aluminium wheelbearing housing will fitt 😁

Can I ask where you sourced the bushings for your rear control arms and track rod?
