Well i guess i will start my Passat thread.. I picked up my Passat in February 2012. It was silver then and had 133,xxx on it. Now things have changed a little bit as you will see in the pics and it's sitting at 136,xxx as of today.

Criticism and Suggestions welcome! :)

A list of a few mods I've done before we begin..
-Evolution Motorsports DV
-APR Stage 1 Chip
-Newsouth Performance Boost Gauge
-K&N Drop In Filter.. Cold air intake in right now..
-Bremi/Sti Coilpacks
-Badgeless Grille
-H&R Sport Springs (stock struts/shocks :angel:)
-NEW PAINT
-Tinted Tails
-10" Sub.
-Cobra Radar Detector (are those last two things mods..? Ha!)
-DEPO Headlights with 6000k HID projectors
-18x8.5" Audi 18" Multi-Spoke Wheel
-Euro Switch
-Painted Calipers Red..... Red Calipers = 25hp, so everyone knows.
-40% Tint (front driver and passenger) 5% Limo on all other windows.
-Relocated DV with parts only from Lowes.
-5th Brake Light
-3000k HID Foglights
-2.5" Test Pipe (IN PROGRESS)

Future Mods (we hope)
-Turbo-back 3in Exhaust
-Bigger Turbo
-Coilovers and Wheel Spacers

So I'm confused... for starters... why do you have a 10" and a 12" all you need is one 10" and it'll sound crisp and clear. You got backed into so you had your car repainted a totally different color and left the engine bay silver? With Red accents? o_O Christmas car?

Nice progress though... Id go lower and get some wheels but thats just my style lol

I think engine bay pics are before he painted it B. I agree with wheels and lower.
ahhh yes, I see silver fenders... but Insurance really would cover pulling the motor and everything for a simple dent in the hood?! Crazy.. lol

The engine bay is still silver. Insurance money didn't cover that ha ha.. and Christmas car...? Red+silver=Christmas??? Oh well, i like it. :) I'm taking out the 12" soon, too much bass, i agree it'll sound better.

better with paint job for shure. keep working on it and you get it right on. i do agree to change the wheels and colors in engine bay, but thats as time and money permits. trust me i know. ;)

I should be getting the 18" TSW Vortext in August.. Will update with some pics.. What do you all think for the engine bay? Black it out? Maybe some silver/chrome?

I have no idea why you have two different sized subs, but overall, nice car. What color is that? On my screen it looks like a brown-ish, blue-ish black. Say that 5 times fast.

those subs are guaranteed to make the kid next to in the Honda at the traffic light cry. (sound familiar, J?)

Ok the 12" is out. I would hate to make a ricer cry.I kinda like the engine bay without the cover too, I think I might get the coil pack ties from ecstuning though. I made the heatshield out of a piece of sheet metal that I cut to fit around the inlet hose and stuff and right next to the Turbo I put 2 pieces of the sheet metal for a little extra protection, then black high heat spray paint and some fuel line on the top for those sharp edges.. its for sale actually, the cai was take out.. :)

Oh and its a charcoal gray too, its a Nissan color I believe. The paint code was k-11 or something, it was the same as a Nissan maxima I saw. The roof around the sunroof is a gloss black.

How much for the heat shield? And do you know if it'll fit a V6? I made a thick aluminum heat shield but its pretty flimsy although its still in the same spot after about 3k miles. Yours looks almost as if it was factory installed, I like it

looking good. good thing you got those wheels in black...bitch to clean. should of had the lowers painted, but since you did not, may I suggest the use of some Poorboy's trim restore or plastic trim dressing of your choice.

black Depo angel eye projector headlights look nice with the color scheme you have going on. where did you get those? they look nicer than any angel eye projectors I have seen.

for some reason your H&R Sports did not drop you enough. good height for a daily driver in snowbound Utah though. if you think you can go lower, I would suggest Vogtland or FK 60/40 springs. do not waste money on coils unless you actually NEED to adjust your height. unless your car is properly corner balanced and aligned after your adjustments up or down, you really screw up the handling of your car, which has already been compromised by lowering it in the first place. it is not inexpensive to begin with as a nice set of coils will set up back $1,300 (KW V1), but just wait till you get all the bills for balancing and aligning. take it from someone who has learned a lesson with my G35 coupe. and if you decide to swap out springs, get some Bilstein Sport shocks while you are at it.

oh yeah...tint!
