yeah. i hated them when i was a kid but done right that is one awesome classic. seeing that you surf too it's nice and utilitarian.

Those Chevelles, El Caminos and Malibus were really underappreciated in mainstream American culture. The late '60 early '70 models were really strong, styling wise and mechanically.

Me and my dad (he passed away 2 months ago) built the car from the ground up the past 5 years... It was my daily driver but I means to much to me to have on the road every day. So I got a passat wagon. Both cars are great for lugging around surfboards, especially in my occupation. Now i'm in love with my wagon and dont drive the el too often... I guess it's better off that way.

Not to hi-jack, but here's my baby...I just sold it though..some guy showed up at my house with blank check..said he wanted it bad..I can always build another..
