My "new" ride... *PICS*

I believe I've tamed the mod bug for a month or two...

At first I was kind indifferent about the new suspension set up.
Drove around Mike's hood and found it, well, just like when brand new shocks and springs installed. Not very impressed.

BUT, once I had the chance to push the car... oooohhhh... I'm so pleased! It's like a new car!
TyrolSport did an awesome job, even under 90 degree weather, thanks Mike!

I have NO idea why it took me so long to do this.
Even my wife approved it big time (besides she knows how much safer it is ;))

Here are some pictures:

OEM:
- 1999 Passat Variant, 1.8T, 5 Manual
- Windsor Blue
- Tan Leather Interior
- Wood Trim
- Mossoon
- Moonroof

- Blue Tinted Mirrors
- Clear Fluted Corners

The force is strong with this one...

Interesting, with it dropped, the Adelaides look very S4-esque..

ya man, looks great
Thanks! Still getting used to the height (hit a bump yesterday :( ).

But I couldn't be happier with the set-up. The car runs firm with little bounce, I even go the rear loose last night 8), very balanced.
I think I'll reset the sway bar from medium to hard soon. I'm also getting a strut brace...

The Adelaides on the last picture were slightly photoshoped  I just can't wait for bigger rims.

very nice!
That drop looks great. The Adelaides reallt fit it well, plus you will not find much lighter than them

Thats scary, am i the only one who thinks it looks like a little model car?

Its still real nice though!
looks real nice man...

that pic is money...!
Do you like the michelins? My new passat came with conti's, which IMO is what all european cars should come with. My old Audi had those same Michelins on them and they were the worst tires I ever had...and at $120 each, not the best value either. I just found them to be incredibly, ahem, vocal in hard turns.
Wait... wait.. where's the CB5 shocka? So many GB parts and no shocka? That ain't right! :poke:

This is my second pair of the same Michelins, I happen to like them very much. I think they offer the best compromise between summer and winter (very important to me driving in New York winters). I have Continentals on my golf and like them too, except the way they look.

Yes, they do scream if pushed hard, so no stealth mode here.

Those new mirror housings look awesome... nice Variant you got there.

I haven't done much appearance stuff to my car, but every performance mod was worth it's wait in gold...

Back at 'cha. I can even appreciate the PhotoShop details you did.
Nice work.

Mine definitely needs to be lowered, but besides the warranty (duh, I should watch my own spelling ) I also worry about it acting like a snowplow in the Wisconsin winters.

Once the stock all seasons wear out, I'll fit the OEM wheels with Bridgestone Blizzaks and buy some new (bigger) wheels and tires.

If you outfit your car with new mirrors, what would you do with the old lights (don't say PhotoShop them out)
