The old girl is finally back on the road and ready to roll once again. To make a long story short, i did not have my car for over 2 years and when i got it back, many things needed to be addressed because of that and a few things that mileage and time added.

List of things done in the last 6 month:

Timing belt
water pump
all pulleys and tensioners
Valve cover gasket
Cam seal
Cam seal tensioner
chains
EGR valve
vaccum lines
oil and filter (of course)
Full coolant flush
new coolant tank
New wheels
034 Motorsports upper and lower control arms kit
034 Motorsports tie rod ends
KW V3 coilovers set
Full detail including ceramic coating

After all this, the car rides perfect, just need to adjust the rebound on the coilovers! I have had this car since new, that's right, since 2001. My son grew up in that car since he was 2, learned to work on cars, learn to love his VW's, learn to drive a stick in this car! now driving his own B5 (audi). This car also help me meet by better half at work many years ago, her having a common love for VW! Is the car worth it financially? no. but to this family, she is worth every penny of it! There is other cars in the family and she has not been the daily driver for many years now, but sure is loved and kept in this family! :b5:

That's a clean and straight car man.
Wish my '98 were that straight.
Tastefully done.

Nice clean look. IMO trunk spoiler is not at the same feeling with car. Do you have same size door mirrors in USA, or is them changed? In europe there is smaller mirror in right side.
Thank you. The spoiler is actually an OEM from Zender and was manufactured in Germany. I just had the emblem notch filled and sanded so that there is no emblems on the front or the back of the car whatsoever!

As far as the mirrors are concerned, the 1998 and 1999 Passat here in the states came with the smaller mirror on the passenger side but in 2000 they evened them out on both side. I believe they did the same thing in Europe as well, i go to France often and see many with the same size mirrors!
