Just yesterday I replaced the crank case breather hose on my passat. Everything was fine yesterday and then today while sitting at a traffic light my passat stalled without warning. I pushed it to the side of the road and after a few minutes the car started without a problem.

I connected the car to find the following codes which are listed below.

I have checked all my vacuum hoses, check valves and other connections. I also replaced the MAF today to find it made no difference. Please help I'm not sure where to look next and i'm trying to avoid taking it to the dealership

Thanks in advance,

Jeremiah

Seems like a good engine cleaning wouldnt hurt, maybe a seafoam treatment and fuel line detergent, maf sensor and throttle body as well.

Have you noticed your EPC light come on? If so this sounds like crank position sensor (CPS) aka engine speed sensor (ESS).

Were those codes you posted from before or after replacing your MAF? The sensor I refer to above would not explain the overboost/under fuel condition that seems to be indicated by your codes. I'll have to think about this for a bit, maybe someone else has a better idea.

The codes listed above were before replacement of the MAF. Afterwards the codes still existed. After clearing them twice they haven't been back since. I have noticed while at cruise speeds if I hit the gas to accelerate around another vehicle my passat will shift hard and make a clunk sound. It happens sporadically and without any other associated symptoms.

I will start with fuel line detergent. I cleaned the throttle body when I changed the crank case breather and the MAF is new.

I haven't noticed EPC light with regards to the crank position sensor but for 65.00 dollars would consider replacing it in order to rule things out.

Is it possible I have a bad Diverter valve or N75 valve maybe? Is there any way to test the two?

anyone have an advice for me???

I checked the car for codes today and found the following:

Address 01: Engine Labels: 058-906-018-ATW.lbl
Part No: 4B0 906 018 BH

1 Fault Found:
17965 - Charge Pressure Control
P1557 - 35-10 - Positive Deviation - Intermittent

I'm not sure where to go from here and would really appreciate some pointers.

Thanks,

Jeremiah
