To which manifold did you upgrade? (I forget which turbo you're currently running)

Congrats. Nice volumetric efficiency mod.So I finally got my replacement 034 exhaust manifold...
No EGT sensors on my car, however I did drill an EGT bung in the manifold. So when I get a threaded type probe I can use the second input on my EGT gauge to see the pre to post turbine temperature differences. I'll be sure to post what I find.Run us some logs! Block '034!
The biggest butt dyno difference is that the torque curve comes on smoother and lasts longer. This is probably related in part a) to the better exhaust gas flow and b) the additional timing that the engine can run.Congrats. Nice volumetric efficiency mod.
Now that you have compared the OEM mani to the 034 mani, where is the most obvious difference?
I have a spare/used AEB mani. I was questioning whether some metal work to the OEM would get it closer to a 034 mani. Realize that they will never be the same, but would like to see if I can grind/shape the OEM to get better flow.
Enjoy your mod. Nice EGT drop, real nice.
This works really well: http://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5&products_id=69So when I get a threaded type probe I can use the second input on my EGT gauge
I'm going with the 034 kit, with the gtrs, 415's and unitronic software, and I think this will give me what I'm looking for.Aran: The install can be a PITA as the space for the nuts is smaller. You just need to be patient when installing it. Also, what kind of setup are you running? If it's a K03 or K04 I don't know that I would really bother to be honest. I had my first 034 manifold installed with a K04-015 and I didn't notice a huge difference. However it's not a bad idea to install it if you plan on going with a larger turbo down the road.
