My suggestion for a sticky thread—listings of specialty tools you are willing to loan out or offer use of to other PassatWorld members local to you. If this gets traction, I will try to periodically recompile directory of tools and contacts in this first posting for MD/DC/NoVA members.

  2. OEM disc brake caliper toolkeithwbloom
  3. Fairly comprehensive set of hand tools for metric applications — keithwbloom
    1. 12-point bits

    4. deep sockets (1/2" drive)
    5. 1/2" drive breaker bar
    6. medium duty (10-150 lbs) torque wrench (1/2" drive)
    7. 1.5 ton floor jacks (2)
    8. 2 ton jack stands (2)
    9. Tie rod end separator
    10. 90° 50mm snap ring pliers (for overhauling parking brake barrel seals inside Lucas rear calipers)
  4. Some specialized diagnostic/programming/electronic tinkering toys — keithwbloom

    2. VAG Tacho 2.5
