Does anyone here swear by this....? I have an aching knee. I went to Sports Authority and picked up a regular knee brace, now my coworker said I should have gotten a magnetic knee brace... "WTF is the difference" I said. Anyway if anyone has any experience with magnetic therapy for joint pains please chime in....TIA

I've worn a magnetic bracelet from SharperImage that was given to me for Christmas for almost 1 year now (12 - 16 hrs/day). I can't say I wear it for the theraputic effects. My wrist and joints still hurt if I type too much for example. But interestingly enough, my right hand (bracelet) no longer aches/hurts much when I bowl!

Using the above refrigerator reference...

Take a magnet (any one)... maybe even a hard drive magnet (read amazingly strong), then start stacking paper, sheet by sheet to the fridge until it doesn't stick any longer... it's embarassingly small distance. Now the magnets they use in these are piss-poor in regards to strength... so how is it going to help you if it cant penetrate even 6 pieces of paper.

Additionally. You've heard of MRI. It's a DIAGNOSTIC TOOL. Even with a magnetic field that (in some) is sevral times the strength of the earths magnetic field has no theraputic effect.

Now if you would like to non-invasively treat cronic pain from injury or inflamation... read up below... I've used low level laser therapy with almost miraculous results (in my case for accute sprots injuries). I of course have no idea what your injury/condition is, but it works so well for pain and inflamation relief, I have to believe that you have a good chance of getting some relief from it.
