I have a 2004 GLX 4-Motion Passat Wagon with I think, transmission problems. When accelerating from a stop then coasting and accelerating again (like waiting for the light to change) the car lurches forward. It also lurches while breaking at very low speeds. It seems like it's happening as the car is shifting up from neutral to first or down from second to first. This is an intermittent problem and of course didn't happen while driving it with the VW rep. Any thoughts? Repair suggestions?

If its a tiptronic, its probably just not past break in yet. The car will usually be a tad more jolty in the first few weeks/months of ownership, as everything is being fine tuned by the engine and such. If its a 5 speed, it could be your driving habits (god knows I have had a few "Lurching moments" when driving a manual :p)
