What's the lowest part of a 1.8t passat, beside the belly pan. Due to a very uneven parking lot I've scraped a times at really low speed. Is the lowest part the oil pan or is there anything lower?

The oil pan is probably the lowest, directly above the belly pan.

The A/C compressor and hoses are very low as well (passenger front by the fog light area). The transmission is behind the oil pan but doesn't take a direct hit like the oil pan can.

If you are lowered, like me, the oil pan busting into pieces comes to mind everytime I hit a hidden/unkown speedbump or hole at a decent speed.

darn, I was afraid of that. I'm not even lowered at I'm scraping something and I'm paranoid of cracking the pan. :nervous:

It's probably the subframe or the main frame. My variant's DUMPED and when I scrape on r a speed bump or something it's never touched anything but these two things. Then again I have a 5MT. If you have a Tip then that's the lowest thing on your car.
