I recently purchased a 2005 Passat. The low headlight beams did not work but the hugh beams worked. I replaced the low beam bulb and noticed the wiring to the light and inside the assembly had no plastic coating. Bare wire. I removed the headlight assemblies to fix this and noticed the headlight assembly was damaged so I purchased 2 new ones. I installed them and the low beams still do not work. Do the low beam and high beam lights have separate fuses? What else could be the issue causing the brand new lights to not work? :banghead:
