Looking for Audi-esque wheel...can't remember where I've actually seen 'em.

If anyone knows exactly what I'm talking about here, post a pic if you can find one, because I haven't been able to.

I seem to recall on some European-spec Audi A6's and I think I may have even seen it on a European Passat, I've seen some cool looking wheels...the spokes are very thick, and the open slats very, very thin...the wheels look very solid & substantial.

Anyone know what the heck I'm talking about? Know where I could obtain them here in the US?

I think those were the wheels on the A6 4.2 prior to this year. I was just on the Audi website and didn't see anything that resembled those wheels on current-spec A6 4.2's.

I could have sworn I saw a magazine article at one time with a Passat with these wheels.

MAk wheels, and TSW make a ver similar wheel. I think you may have seen one of those on a passat in a mag.

I'm just thinking of those CHUNKY machined 5 - spoke TT roadster rims. Those have some serious pottential. Though only available in 16" I'd snap them up in 18. I could have sworn there was a set on an A6 in the commercial with all the kids, they still probably don't fit.

the TT look 5 spoke wheels are indeed made in a 17X8 5X112 bolt pattern. They come on some of the 4.2 A6, and some A8's

I am planning on running these come winter time

So, I know next to nothing about tires & wheels...since these are 17 X 8, will these fit on a 2002 Passat without modification?

they will fit fine. run a 225(or 235) 45 17 tyre, and you will be just fine
