Dear Passat Genius's

I had all the typical signs of a warped brake disc - throbbing brakes, vibrations etc. So on saturday some new discs (and pads) went in. DARN, its still there. What else could cause the brakes to throb / vibrate when over 60mph, light to medium pressure on the brakes (dissappears with hard braking). Under 60mph it doesnt happen.

If I think back we had some ice a little while ago and down a hill I had to steer into the kerb to stop the car rolling into the guy in front. Although I wasnt going fast and I dont think it hit with much force, could this have bent something to cause the vibrations - if so, what? I cant say with certainty it started at the same time although its possible.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, thanks for the reply.

No shaking of the steering wheel itself at any speed so think balancing is OK. Alignment is probably out a little but ive never seen a 9 year old car drive dead straight!! Certainly no careering off the road when going "hands free". This only happens when pressing the brake pedel lightly...

Thanks
