Hi,

With the stock radio I could turn the key to ignition-off and the radio would keep playing until I removed the key from the ignition.

How does the ignition signal the radio to turn off? Its not a simple loss of power because you can still turn on the radio after the key is removed.

The idea is to have the key removal event turn off an amplifier.

Thanks,

Alric

You should have a remote wire that goes from the back of the deck to the amp.. when the radio is shut off, the amp will turn off.. I also added a toggle switch to this line that I hid in the glove compartment so if I want to turn off my amp and sub I can..

Good luck

That's the problem. There is no deck anymore. What i'd like to know is which wire used to control the deck.

Thanks,

If my car was not in the shop right now I would pull the deck and tell you.. If you don't have an answere by monday night I can tell you. I think it was a green wire( Don't quote me on that). You can also test them all until you find it.. I think you only have like 8 choices.. Then all you do is splice that wire and add the remote wire going to the amp.

Good luck
