I've been a VW guy since I started legally driving, hehe... I've had everything from a '57 oval to type IIIs A1 and A2 and now the B5. I'm here to learn a new thing or two. <waves at everyone>

Ride info: 1999 Stock White Passat. Plain Jane, no mods, no nothing, unless you consider where the kids spilled the potatoe chips in the back seat on the way home from the dealer.

Edit: Okay I lied sorta, The previous owner installed a JVC KD-S680, I know, I know, might as well left the stock one. <sigh>

I'd also like you guys to note the destiny here, (license plate says 'wuf') sheeps clothing perhaps.

I kinda figured that's why the count was so low, but to tell you the truth. Take a look at the stockest (is that a word) '99 Passat you've ever seen and yep, that would be mine. A true white virgin in all her glory. I will post pixs first part of next week (camera at work, doh) for the before shots. As I take a look at all the niffty ideas that have graced these pages hopefully I'll be able to come up with a ride that I won't be almost ashamed of. Thanks for the advice in advance as I begin the modification process.

nothing wrong...just that i don't see it that often. usually a B5 equipped with a sunroof has alloys.
alloys

Well, Perhaps this is what I ended up with. I've been looking pretty hard for a new set of wheels. We'll just have to see what comes along at the right time/price. Thanks for the pointers.

Welcome, I go through Mcminnville every time me and my girl take our bi annual trip to Lincoln City!
Summer has come and it is once again a great time for a Get Together here in the Pacific Northwest.

This is for our 2nd Annual Pacific Northwest Get Together, which will be held in Ocean Shores Washington on the week-end of the 23rd and 24th of July. Last year’s event brought 13 B5 and B5.5 together from Washington, Oregon and British Colombia and was a good success. We are planning for a bigger and better event this year.

It will be a two days event but everyone is welcome to come for both days or 1 day if that’s all the time you have. All details have not been worked out just yet but as it stands right now, the 23rd will be the drive down (or up, depends where you are coming from) and we would all meet at a designated location. We would find our accommodations and do some activities that evening. On the following day the 24th July, we would do a drive and BBQ and find our way home after that.

To find all details and progress on this event, please go to the following link http://www.passatworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=178550 and don’t forget to sign up while you are there. It will be updated weekly. This event will be a lot of fun and another great excuse to gather our beloved Passats and see each other again or meet new people as well.

If you need any other help or information, you can contact me (Yannick) at [email protected] or Alex at [email protected] .
