Hey Guys,

I need help with a half dead Passat that my brother left in the driveway for me to fix when he died 2 weeks ago.

I'm a motorcycle mechanic turned mechanical engineer. My brother was an ASE certified master mechanic, but now he's gone and I need to figure out what's up with the Passat.

I'll post in the appropriate section with a full rundown on the current conditions/codes/work performed to date.
