What is your opinion about the aftermarket grills for the MkIV jettas? My girlfriend is in the market for a new grill, and I just wanted to see some opinions. I haven't really looked into jetta grills that much, but I personally like the oettinger, but she likes the kamei (no paint). I'd just like to hear your opinions.

the jetta looks nice w/o the badge, kamei or the fk style grill looks good and make sure you fill the hood notch!
Yeah, but how do you fill the notch?
most of the badgeless grills come with a hood notch filler. basically its like a half circle piece of plastic to put onto the hood where the vw logo would be. looks pretty bleh unless you mold in that notch filler.
Yeah, I saw a Jetta once without that notch and a Kamei mesh grill. Fugly thing....
As for what I like, the flat slat-style grills are my fave. It's just kinda like a debadged stock grill.

I like the ABT grills. Aren't they real similar to the Oettingers?
the abt looks like the oettinger, GO BADGELESS! make sure you put in the notch filler AND get the space between filled w/ putty and repainted! looks hot.
